Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026. Peptidegenics collects the minimum data necessary to operate. Your data signals deserve the same respect as your performance signals.
What we collect
Peptidegenics is a read-only publication. There are no user accounts, no comment systems, no forms collecting personal information, and no newsletter subscriptions. The only data collected is what any web server collects by default when a browser requests a page.
Server logs — Every HTTP request to this server generates a log entry. These logs contain: the requesting IP address, the URL requested, the HTTP response code, the timestamp, and the referring URL and browser user-agent string where provided by the client. Server logs are used solely for operational monitoring (diagnosing errors, detecting abusive traffic patterns) and are not used for individual reader profiling.
Google Analytics 4 (if active) — This site may use a Google Analytics 4 data stream to measure aggregate traffic patterns: page views, session duration, referral sources, and approximate geographic region (country level). GA4 uses cookies to distinguish unique sessions. No personally identifiable information is transmitted. GA4 data is used exclusively to understand which content is useful to readers — there is no advertising, no remarketing, no audience sharing with third parties.
Cookies
If Google Analytics is active, GA4 sets a first-party measurement cookie (_ga and _ga_*) that persists for up to 13 months. This cookie contains a randomly generated identifier used to distinguish sessions; it does not contain your name, email address, or any other identifying information. No other cookies are set by this site.
You can prevent GA4 measurement by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, by blocking the googletagmanager.com domain via your browser or network-level filter, or by using a browser with built-in tracker blocking enabled.
Data retention
Server logs are retained for up to 30 days for operational purposes and then deleted. Google Analytics data is retained subject to GA4's standard data retention settings, which can be configured to a minimum of 2 months. Peptidegenics does not export or archive GA4 data beyond the platform's own retention window.
Data sharing
None. Peptidegenics does not sell, license, or otherwise share reader data with any third party — not advertisers, not data brokers, not supplement manufacturers, not research institutions. The only data that leaves this server is what Google Analytics collects directly from your browser under its own privacy terms, which you can review at policies.google.com/privacy.
Third-party embeds and external links
Articles on this site link to primary sources — PubMed, journal publishers, and similar scientific repositories. Following these links takes you to third-party sites governed by their own privacy policies. Peptidegenics has no control over what data those sites collect and is not responsible for their practices. No third-party embeds (video players, social widgets, ad scripts) are loaded on any page of this site.
